Kia ora! I’m Jodie.

My pronouns are: she/her

I’m the architect, dreamer, founder, and planner behind Emerald and Ebony.

Living in the beautiful Aotearoa, New Zealand and in the shadow of Taranaki Maunga it’s hard not to be inspired by nature’s beauty, strength, and timelessness. I’m fiercely protective of our planet, which is why I’ve dedicated my life to finding sustainable event solutions for nature-inspired, eco-friendly weddings.

My degree in Building Science lends itself surprisingly well to wedding planning. Working in the building industry, I learnt to oversee and manage the creation of sustainable spaces that complemented nature and celebrated the outdoors. I’ll bring that vision and dedication to your wedding and help you carve out a space that embraces nature and aligns with your values.

The only thing better than waking up to the smell of freshly-brewed coffee in our campervan is helping others achieve their sustainability goals one decision at a time.

A few facts
  1. I’m fueled by coffee, chocolate, and dog cuddles (not necessarily in that order).
  2. The way to my heart is by taking me on a good camping trip with a decent supply of locally-brewed craft beer.
  3. In 2019, I convinced my flatmates to take part in Plastic Free July and — well — we’ve been low waste (and improving) ever since.

Jodie genuinely cares about our wedding, and the vision that we have. She is equally as excited, and this is so apparent every time we communicate with her.
